Hello, fellow movie lovers! busy being grounded and possibly renamed Stacy. We have seen this trope play out before, correct? A white girl is just a kid in high school trying to survive the good and bad times. Though what separates “Incoming” is its inherent humour and natural chaos of the characters.
This is more than just another wannabe Superbad. Of course, it is the same sloppy nights out and teenage cringefests, but there was something new to offer. The jokes are clever, the characters are imperfect messes, and holy cow—what situations do these people find themselves in? They are the kind that will make you cringe and laugh and maybe even use flashbacks to examine your high school days.
The Cast That Nails It
Let’s talk about the cast. Mason Thames as Benj is practically a throwback to our 80s teen heartthrobs. He’s the sort of charming nerd you just want to cheer for, especially when he comes on too strong with Bailey. Then there are his friends: Eddie, Connor, and Koosh—eeach with their deranged peculiarities. They are not just characters on the side, but a considerable component of what makes this movie work.
Plus, the comical Mr. Studebaker, played by Bobby Cannavale, was pretty unforgettable too! He is a teacher who you would never expect at your party, but turns up and hits the wild streak—like makeshift bongs and fireball shots. Yup, that type of movie.
Life with Bailey: Lessons, Laughs, and Some Chaos
One of the best aspects of “Incoming” is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously while still packing some important real-world messages. []. It does not moralise, but it clearly illustrates that choices have consequences as wild and self-destructive high school drinking escapades. That in here, whether it be learning for Benj that being someone else too hard doesn’t work; or Connor and Eddie coming to the realisation they need to take care of one extraordinarily drunk Katrina—there’s something we can all learn.

But, and I will say this again—iit is not that grim serious! From mistaken Ubers to a broken nose—aand, yes, even a dislocated shoulder. Chaos reigns in the Three Ring Circus. This is the rare film that somehow manages to surprise you by making you genuinely unsure what could possibly happen next.
Final Thoughts
Incoming (High School Comedy of the Year) It is dirty; it has humour and heart. So, if you want to go down memory lane or just need a good chuckle in your life, this movie has it all. Go get some popcorn, put on Netflix, and enjoy the journey—yyou won’t need an invitation to this one wild night!
